3. TROUBLESHOOTING FOR COUNTERS

Check the backup counter values

SP7-3-1 Bk counter

SP7-3-2 Full Color counter

value B

Compare the main and

backup counter

referring to the previous servicing

counter.

Judge which counter

is defective.

Enter SP mode

SP7-914-3 :

Write the main counter value to the backup counter

to check the main counter value.

This is because you can not access the main

counter value using the counter key on the operation

panel directly.

Main SW OFF/ON

If the backup counter values have a problem, other

RAM data also might have problems.

RAM Clear

(See Section 6.12.2)

Is SC901 still displayed?

SC901

Main SW OFF

Replace the main counter

Main SW ON

(SC901 will be displayed)

Write the main counter value to the backup

counter to be consistent with the main counter.

Check the backup counter

SP7-3-1 Bk : 9998000

SP7-3-2 Full Color : 9999000

Replace the memory

Write the main counter value to the backup
