90 Gestetner F104/F104L
TOPIC SAMPLE SCRIPT
Since this particular unit will be located within the Marketing
Department, you need to satisfy requests for maps/directions, press
releases, brochures or specifications, correct? Frequently faxed
documents can be stored in any of the 90 Quick Dial keys as an
Auto Document. Next time someone calls to request a document,
press the Quick Dial key and, if desired, place any other pages you
wish to send in the feeder, dial, and press ”Start,” and off it goes. This
is a huge time-saver because you aren’t rescanning the original each time.
• Auto Document
And, unlike some competing units, you can enter up to 100 num-
bers at random for Broadcasting to locations that are not pre-
stored. This too is a tremendous time saver and is very helpful
when the destinations change.
• Manual Dialing
You know how broadcasting takes place by dialing each location in
sequence, one after the other? Well, so as not to tie up the unit
during a broadcast session, you can install the optional 2nd 33.6
Kbps line and broadcast on one line while faxes are sent and
received on another line, without work interruption or senders
encountering busy signals. That doubles your throughput capacity
without having to buy another fax machine!
• Simultaneous
Broadcast
When adding the second modem, the F104L is capable of 3-port
Multiplex Communication. That means a user can send an e-mail
and fax over two lines simultaneously (also called Mixed Broadcast),
allowing for efficient document processing within busy offices.
• 3-port Multiplex
Communication
(Mixed Broadcast)
Another function that you had expressed interest in was
Broadcasting. You can program your branch location fax numbers
into any of the 90 Quick Dial keys or 200 Speed Dial numbers, then
create up to 9 Groups, with any combination of these numbers
(containing a combined total of 250 locations). Each time you need
to transmit new product information, you select the key that
contains the desired fax numbers. The document is scanned into
memory and then sequentially transmitted to each location in just
one operation.
• Sequential Broadcast
