Network Printing

Adding the optional Print Controller and NIB transforms

the Gestetner F104 or F104L into a capable low-volume

laser printer that is well suited to handle the demands

of small workgroups or departments within larger

businesses and organizations.

With a direct connect to an Ethernet 10/100BaseT network

via the optional Network Interface Board, the multifunc-

tional Gestetner F104 Series provides 15-ppm printing at

up to 600 x 600 dpi resolution. Standalone PC printing is

also possible via the Print Controller’s built-in bi-directional

IEEE 1284 Parallel Port.

Users also benefit from other productivity-enhancing features such as a standard 16MB printer

memory (expandable to 144 MB) and 45 fonts (35 Intellifonts and 10 TrueType).

The Gestetner F104 Series also offers standard PCL6/PCL5e and optional PostScript 2

compatibility. With support for all popular network operating systems, customers are ensured

that everyone on the network benefits.

Gestetner’s print drivers allow for selection of settings

such as User ID, Layout (1-/2-/4-/6-/9-/16-sheets per

page), Page Order, Number of Copies, Collation, Paper

Selection, Resolution (300/600 dpi); Edge Smoothing,

Toner Saver, Page Protect, Duplex (2-sided printing),

and Watermark. Increased productivity – while

performing everyday tasks – is only a click away.

Available Network Printer options include 32/64/128MB memory modules and PostScript 2

emulation.

With the convenient Gestetner device management tools, SmartNetMonitor, IT managers and/or

network administrators can easily monitor and check the device status such as current toner

level. In addition, by designating User Codes, for each end-user, the administrator can control

access to the device by User Code and by function.
